Day 2. - 3 more countries

Team meeting at 745, in fancy dress! The plan for today was to drive around 290 miles to Germany via Belgium and Luxembourg. We left the hotel at 10am. Rather than take the motorway all the way we opted for the scenic route. Stopping for lunch in Bastogne, Belgium. This is where the American army were surrounded by the Germans in WW2. We had lunch in Nuts restaurant which is what the American Commander said to the German Commander when he was asked to surrender. Then the back roads to Luxembourg. Alfie got a little hot going up some of the hills, hairpin bends like I have never seen before.  Good test for the Stelvio Pass in Italy on Tuesday.  I think we may be having a few pit stops on the way up for a little cool down.  All in all though a great day, with a total of 351 miles completed and one top up of cheap petrol in Luxembourg. Now back at the hotel. We are all going to a wine festival in Winningen tonight  live music and a firework display over the river, apparently it tops London Millennium fireworks so should be good.   Could end up a bit messy. After last night session we were missing 2 teams at the morning briefing, tomorrow may be a few more.  Lots more photos today but due to pictures being on the camera and only 1 wifi login per room no way of transferring them to the iPad. Tomorrow I will be better organised and use the computer to update the blog rather than the iPad.  Tomorrow we head to Austria.
